Portals brings together concepts developed over the past ten years in Mareo’s practice, centering on the wavy line as a fundamental gesture of nature, embodying both separation and connection, rupture and healing. Present in landscapes, fractures, and energetic forces, this motif becomes a visual language through which the work navigates the tension between the physical and the spiritual.
At its core, the crack emerges as a portal, an opening into the unknown where absence holds the potential for transformation.
As Mareo’s first digital solo exhibition, Portals unfolds as an immersive journey where landscape becomes inner terrain, inviting viewers to engage with perception and the possibility of evolution.
