PORTAL V  Crack of Light

Site specific light installation made for Casa Hotbook headquarters in Mexico city.

The work emerged from observing architecture and its tensions, conceived not as an added object but as something arising from the space itself. It contrasts structural geometry with the organic energy of lightning. Placed along the stair axis beneath the skylight, it becomes a vertical channel that activates the space, turning the house into a breathing organism. Reflections on the glass railing amplify this effect, destabilizing the perception of boundaries and tensioning the limits of the built environment.

At Casa HOTBOOK, the installation focused on integration rather than intervention, revealing a latent energy and inviting light to be perceived as an organic presence, a fissure that transforms how the space is inhabited.
